If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website <\/span>

Healing Art Together is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that <\/span>
\nconnects healing artists with healthcare providers and community <\/span>
\norganizations through a searchable directory platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WE ARE:<\/span>
\n– A directory platform connecting artists and healthcare providers<\/span>
\n– A nonprofit organization supporting healing through creative arts<\/span>
\n– A community builder for artists and wellness organizations<\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT WE ARE NOT:<\/span>
\n– A healthcare provider, medical practice, or therapy service<\/span>
\n– A staffing agency, employment service, or placement agency<\/span>
\n– A matchmaking or referral service<\/span>
\n– A credentialing or certification organization<\/span>
\n– A guarantor of artist quality or outcomes<\/span><\/p>\n

3. HAT COLLECTIVE DIRECTORY<\/span><\/p>\n

The HAT Collective is a free, searchable directory of healing <\/span>
\nartists who self-identify as offering creative healing experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n

DIRECTORY FUNCTION:<\/span>
\n– Artists create self-reported profiles<\/span>
\n– Healthcare providers and organizations browse profiles<\/span>
\n– Connections are made directly between artists and providers<\/span>
\n– HAT facilitates the platform but is not involved in partnerships<\/span><\/p>\n

IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS:<\/span>
\n– HAT does NOT verify credentials, certify practitioners, or vet artists<\/span>
\n– HAT does NOT match, recommend, or endorse specific artists<\/span>
\n– HAT does NOT supervise, employ, or contract with artists<\/span>
\n– HAT does NOT guarantee outcomes, quality, or availability<\/span>
\n– HAT is NOT responsible for agreements between artists and providers<\/span><\/p>\n

4. ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/p>\n

If you create a profile in the HAT Collective directory, you agree to:<\/span><\/p>\n

ACCURACY & HONESTY:<\/span>
\n– Provide accurate information about your practice, experience, <\/span>
\nand credentials<\/span>
\n– Update your profile when information changes<\/span>
\n– Represent yourself honestly and professionally<\/span>
\n– Not make false or misleading claims about your qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n

INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONER STATUS:<\/span>
\n– You are an independent contractor, NOT an employee or agent of HAT<\/span>
\n– You are responsible for your own business operations, taxes, <\/span>
\ninsurance, and legal compliance<\/span>
\n– You maintain full control over your rates, availability, and <\/span>
\nclient relationships<\/span>
\n– HAT is not involved in your agreements with healthcare providers <\/span>
\nor clients<\/span><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:<\/span>
\n– Conduct yourself professionally in all interactions<\/span>
\n– Respect client confidentiality and boundaries<\/span>
\n– Comply with all applicable laws and regulations<\/span>
\n– Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your practice<\/span>
\n– Do not misrepresent your relationship with HAT<\/span><\/p>\n

MEDICAL BOUNDARIES:<\/span>
\n– You will NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment<\/span>
\n– You will NOT represent your services as therapy or clinical care <\/span>
\n(unless you are licensed and practicing within your scope)<\/span>
\n– You understand creative healing experiences do not replace <\/span>
\nmedical or mental health treatment<\/span><\/p>\n

5. HEALTHCARE PROVIDER & ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITIES<\/span><\/p>\n

If you use the HAT Collective directory to find artists, you agree to:<\/span><\/p>\n

DUE DILIGENCE:<\/span>
\n– Conduct your own verification of artist credentials<\/span>
\n– Perform background checks as appropriate for your setting<\/span>
\n– Make your own independent judgment about artist suitability<\/span>
\n– Not rely on directory listing as HAT’s endorsement or recommendation<\/span><\/p>\n

PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:<\/span>
\n– You maintain full responsibility for patient care and medical decisions<\/span>
\n– You are responsible for any contracts or agreements with artists<\/span>
\n– You will verify artists have appropriate insurance and credentials <\/span>
\nfor your setting<\/span>
\n– You understand HAT is not a party to your agreements with artists<\/span><\/p>\n

6. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER<\/span><\/p>\n

HEALING ART TOGETHER IS NOT A HEALTHCARE PROVIDER.<\/span><\/p>\n

We do NOT:<\/span>
\n– Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment<\/span>
\n– Offer therapy or clinical mental health services<\/span>
\n– Replace or substitute for professional medical care<\/span>
\n– Supervise or oversee artist-client interactions<\/span>
\n– Guarantee any health or wellness outcomes<\/span><\/p>\n

The creative healing experiences offered by artists in our directory <\/span>
\nare NOT medical services or therapy (unless the artist is a licensed <\/span>
\nprofessional practicing within their scope of practice).<\/span><\/p>\n

IF YOU NEED MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH CARE, PLEASE CONSULT A LICENSED <\/span>
\nHEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n– Artist conduct, services, or professional performance<\/span>
\n– Outcomes of creative healing experiences<\/span>
\n– Disputes between artists and healthcare providers<\/span>
\n– Disputes between artists and clients\/participants<\/span>
\n– Accuracy of information in artist profiles<\/span>
\n– Injuries, damages, or adverse events arising from artist services<\/span>
\n– Financial disputes or payment issues<\/span>
\n– Breach of contract between artists and providers<\/span>
\n– Any damages arising from use of the directory<\/span><\/p>\n

MAXIMUM LIABILITY:<\/span>
\nIn no event shall Healing Art Together’s liability exceed $100 or <\/span>
\nthe amount you paid to HAT (which is $0 for free directory listing).<\/span><\/p>\n

INDEMNIFICATION:<\/span>
\nYou agree to indemnify and hold harmless Healing Art Together, its <\/span>
\ndirectors, officers, volunteers, and staff from any claims, damages, <\/span>
\nor expenses arising from:<\/span>
\n– Your use of the directory<\/span>
\n– Your provision or receipt of services<\/span>
\n– Your violation of these Terms<\/span>
\n– Your violation of any laws or regulations<\/span><\/p>\n

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY<\/span><\/p>\n

USER CONTENT:<\/span>
\n– Artists retain ownership of their artwork, images, and written content<\/span>
\n– By creating a profile, you grant HAT a non-exclusive license to <\/span>
\ndisplay your profile content in the directory and use it for <\/span>
\npromotional purposes (with attribution)<\/span>
\n– You represent that you have the right to share all content you upload<\/span>
\n– You are responsible for obtaining permission to share photos of <\/span>
\nclients or participants<\/span><\/p>\n

HAT CONTENT:<\/span>
\n– The HAT Collective name, logo, website design, and original content <\/span>
\nare owned by Healing Art Together<\/span>
\n– You may not use HAT branding without written permission<\/span>
\n– You may not scrape, copy, or reproduce the directory database<\/span><\/p>\n

ARTIST ATTRIBUTION:<\/span>
\n– When HAT features your work on social media or marketing materials, <\/span>
\nwe will attribute it to you<\/span>
\n– You may request removal of your content from HAT’s promotional <\/span>
\nmaterials at any time<\/span><\/p>\n

9. PROFILE REMOVAL & TERMINATION<\/span><\/p>\n

HAT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE PROFILES THAT:<\/span>
\n– Contain false or misleading information<\/span>
\n– Violate community standards or professional conduct<\/span>
\n– Generate legitimate complaints of unprofessional behavior<\/span>
\n– Misrepresent relationship with HAT<\/span>
\n– Violate these Terms & Conditions<\/span>
\n– Are inactive for more than 2 years without update<\/span><\/p>\n

ARTISTS MAY REQUEST REMOVAL:<\/span>
\n– You can request removal of your profile at any time<\/span>
\n– Email info@healingarttogether.org with “Remove My Profile” <\/span>
\nin the subject line<\/span>
\n– We will remove your profile within 7 business days<\/span><\/p>\n

HEALTHCARE PROVIDER ACCESS:<\/span>
\n– HAT may suspend or terminate access to the directory for misuse, <\/span>
\nharassment of artists, or violation of these Terms<\/span><\/p>\n

\n– Harass, threaten, or abuse other users<\/span>
\n– Share false or defamatory information<\/span>
\n– Scrape or copy the directory database<\/span>
\n– Use the directory for purposes other than connecting artists <\/span>
\nand healthcare providers<\/span>
\n– Spam or send unsolicited marketing communications<\/span>
\n– Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or intentions<\/span><\/p>\n

BETWEEN ARTISTS & PROVIDERS:<\/span>
\n– HAT is not involved in disputes between artists and healthcare <\/span>
\nproviders<\/span>
\n– Parties are encouraged to resolve disputes directly<\/span>
\n– HAT may provide contact information but does not mediate or <\/span>
\narbitrate disputes<\/span><\/p>\n

BETWEEN USERS & HAT:<\/span>
\n– Contact us first: info@healingarttogether.org<\/span>
\n– We will attempt to resolve disputes informally<\/span>
\n– Any legal disputes shall be governed by the laws of New York State<\/span>
\n– Venue for any legal action shall be Nassau County, New York<\/span><\/p>\n
