1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By accessing or using the Healing Art Together website
(healingarttogether.org) or participating in the HAT Collective
directory, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website
or services.

2. ABOUT HEALING ART TOGETHER
Healing Art Together is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that
connects healing artists with healthcare providers and community
organizations through a searchable directory platform.
WHAT WE ARE:
– A directory platform connecting artists and healthcare providers
– A nonprofit organization supporting healing through creative arts
– A community builder for artists and wellness organizations
WHAT WE ARE NOT:
– A healthcare provider, medical practice, or therapy service
– A staffing agency, employment service, or placement agency
– A matchmaking or referral service
– A credentialing or certification organization
– A guarantor of artist quality or outcomes

3. HAT COLLECTIVE DIRECTORY
The HAT Collective is a free, searchable directory of healing
artists who self-identify as offering creative healing experiences.
DIRECTORY FUNCTION:
– Artists create self-reported profiles
– Healthcare providers and organizations browse profiles
– Connections are made directly between artists and providers
– HAT facilitates the platform but is not involved in partnerships
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS:
– HAT does NOT verify credentials, certify practitioners, or vet artists
– HAT does NOT match, recommend, or endorse specific artists
– HAT does NOT supervise, employ, or contract with artists
– HAT does NOT guarantee outcomes, quality, or availability
– HAT is NOT responsible for agreements between artists and providers

4. ARTIST RESPONSIBILITIES
If you create a profile in the HAT Collective directory, you agree to:
ACCURACY & HONESTY:
– Provide accurate information about your practice, experience,
and credentials
– Update your profile when information changes
– Represent yourself honestly and professionally
– Not make false or misleading claims about your qualifications
INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONER STATUS:
– You are an independent contractor, NOT an employee or agent of HAT
– You are responsible for your own business operations, taxes,
insurance, and legal compliance
– You maintain full control over your rates, availability, and
client relationships
– HAT is not involved in your agreements with healthcare providers
or clients
PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT:
– Conduct yourself professionally in all interactions
– Respect client confidentiality and boundaries
– Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
– Maintain appropriate insurance coverage for your practice
– Do not misrepresent your relationship with HAT
MEDICAL BOUNDARIES:
– You will NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
– You will NOT represent your services as therapy or clinical care
(unless you are licensed and practicing within your scope)
– You understand creative healing experiences do not replace
medical or mental health treatment

5. HEALTHCARE PROVIDER & ORGANIZATION RESPONSIBILITIES
If you use the HAT Collective directory to find artists, you agree to:
DUE DILIGENCE:
– Conduct your own verification of artist credentials
– Perform background checks as appropriate for your setting
– Make your own independent judgment about artist suitability
– Not rely on directory listing as HAT’s endorsement or recommendation
PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY:
– You maintain full responsibility for patient care and medical decisions
– You are responsible for any contracts or agreements with artists
– You will verify artists have appropriate insurance and credentials
for your setting
– You understand HAT is not a party to your agreements with artists

6. MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
HEALING ART TOGETHER IS NOT A HEALTHCARE PROVIDER.
We do NOT:
– Provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
– Offer therapy or clinical mental health services
– Replace or substitute for professional medical care
– Supervise or oversee artist-client interactions
– Guarantee any health or wellness outcomes
The creative healing experiences offered by artists in our directory
are NOT medical services or therapy (unless the artist is a licensed
professional practicing within their scope of practice).
IF YOU NEED MEDICAL OR MENTAL HEALTH CARE, PLEASE CONSULT A LICENSED
HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
HAT IS NOT LIABLE FOR:
– Artist conduct, services, or professional performance
– Outcomes of creative healing experiences
– Disputes between artists and healthcare providers
– Disputes between artists and clients/participants
– Accuracy of information in artist profiles
– Injuries, damages, or adverse events arising from artist services
– Financial disputes or payment issues
– Breach of contract between artists and providers
– Any damages arising from use of the directory
MAXIMUM LIABILITY:
In no event shall Healing Art Together’s liability exceed $100 or
the amount you paid to HAT (which is $0 for free directory listing).
INDEMNIFICATION:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Healing Art Together, its
directors, officers, volunteers, and staff from any claims, damages,
or expenses arising from:
– Your use of the directory
– Your provision or receipt of services
– Your violation of these Terms
– Your violation of any laws or regulations

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
USER CONTENT:
– Artists retain ownership of their artwork, images, and written content
– By creating a profile, you grant HAT a non-exclusive license to
display your profile content in the directory and use it for
promotional purposes (with attribution)
– You represent that you have the right to share all content you upload
– You are responsible for obtaining permission to share photos of
clients or participants
HAT CONTENT:
– The HAT Collective name, logo, website design, and original content
are owned by Healing Art Together
– You may not use HAT branding without written permission
– You may not scrape, copy, or reproduce the directory database
ARTIST ATTRIBUTION:
– When HAT features your work on social media or marketing materials,
we will attribute it to you
– You may request removal of your content from HAT’s promotional
materials at any time

9. PROFILE REMOVAL & TERMINATION
HAT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE PROFILES THAT:
– Contain false or misleading information
– Violate community standards or professional conduct
– Generate legitimate complaints of unprofessional behavior
– Misrepresent relationship with HAT
– Violate these Terms & Conditions
– Are inactive for more than 2 years without update
ARTISTS MAY REQUEST REMOVAL:
– You can request removal of your profile at any time
– Email info@healingarttogether.org with “Remove My Profile”
in the subject line
– We will remove your profile within 7 business days
HEALTHCARE PROVIDER ACCESS:
– HAT may suspend or terminate access to the directory for misuse,
harassment of artists, or violation of these Terms

10. USER CONDUCT
All users agree to:
✅ Treat others with respect and professionalism
✅ Communicate honestly and in good faith
✅ Respect privacy and confidentiality
✅ Comply with all applicable laws
✅ Report concerns or violations to HAT
❌ Do NOT:
– Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
– Share false or defamatory information
– Scrape or copy the directory database
– Use the directory for purposes other than connecting artists
and healthcare providers
– Spam or send unsolicited marketing communications
– Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or intentions

11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
BETWEEN ARTISTS & PROVIDERS:
– HAT is not involved in disputes between artists and healthcare
providers
– Parties are encouraged to resolve disputes directly
– HAT may provide contact information but does not mediate or
arbitrate disputes
BETWEEN USERS & HAT:
– Contact us first: info@healingarttogether.org
– We will attempt to resolve disputes informally
– Any legal disputes shall be governed by the laws of New York State
– Venue for any legal action shall be Nassau County, New York

12. PRIVACY
Your use of our website and directory is also governed by our

13. CHANGES TO TERMS
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
NOTICE OF CHANGES:
– We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top
– For significant changes, we will notify users via email or
website notice
– Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

14. GENERAL PROVISIONS
ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the
entire agreement between you and Healing Art Together.
SEVERABILITY:
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions
remain in full effect.
NO WAIVER:
Failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to
enforce it later.
ASSIGNMENT:
You may not assign these Terms. HAT may assign them to a successor
organization.
NONPROFIT STATUS:
HAT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We do not operate for
profit and donations may be tax-deductible.
